So i have successfully added one of my amcrest cams - but the quality is really bad... Any suggestions? 

I currently have some Ring cameras integrated into my SmartThings network. I really like how they trigger video recording and notifications based on motion sensing, and being able to review videos from over a month ago is really great, but I’m frustrated that they don’t display on ActionTiles on my Fire 8 tablet.

I want to add some more cameras and view the feeds in ActionTiles, but need the motion sensing recording and alert functionality of the Ring cameras. Can anyone recommend what I should use to get this working with Action Tiles please. If need be I can install separate motion sensors and have SmartThings trigger the camera to record based off of the motion sensors, but it’d obviously be nicer to have motion sensing built into the cameras.

We are aware of this issue and are continuing to investigate. We are fairly certain of the root cause.

The bug impacts a variety of brands and device types; most or all of them have only recently been added to SmartThings's list of compatible devices. A common factor: They are WiFi based, and use Cloud-to-Cloud (C2C) communication to receive commands and send events between the SmartThings Cloud and the Vendor's Cloud.

Some specific known devices with the issue:

• KASA TP-Link (HS103, HS105, ...)
• Sensibo AC
• certain televisions
• Yeelight RGB strips
• ...

We have determined that the likely root cause is that SmartThings made an undocumented & unannounced change to their Device Type Handler standards. It's not uncommon for them to make unannounced platform changes; but we will work with them to resolve the issues. They have explained the changes to us.

These newly compatible devices are not returning expected data to ActionTiles. We will request that they publish an updated version of our "ActionTiles V6 (Connect)" SmartApp with new data expectations and related exception handling, after we verify the fixes in our test environments.

Here is my situation :
I have Fosacm fi9821W that support mjpeg stream, I use tiny cam pro as my center place for all my cameras (currently only one though but going to add 3 more).
I created 2 media shortcuts on AT

The video from the link to tiny cam is laggy while the direct link is good .

When seeing the stream in tiny cam app there is no lag and I get great video.

Not sure how to debug this and what can cause this laggy video.

Any Ideas ?

When I add a thing and then adjust its position, the list jumps around not permitting me to move the thing upward in the list. Using iOS on an iPad.

I was wondering if anybody has idea how ti implement the following functionality. I have 2 cameras on my one of my panels. They are refreshing every 0.5 second and when I tap on any of them the screen maximizes to full screen. When I tap it again, it goes back to the normal panel view with other items. These two cameras have motion detection built in and I would love to implement this. When the camera detects the motion automatically go to full screen for say 10-15 seconds and then go back to the normal panel view.

I am using Fire TV HD with Fully Kiosk browser.

However looping MP4 videos are available which I'd really love to be able to embed instead, however, sadly they aren't MJPEG:

I was wondering why the restriction to MJPEG and if it was possible to enable other video types?

Are there any device handlers out there already where ActionTiles will combine a switch (or some other capability) and power meter capability into a single tile?

The context around this is I'm writing an integration that brings over data from a Sense Energy Monitor. It brings over a list of devices along with their current power usage. I'm running a custom handler right now that has switch and power capability, but if there's a standard handler out there I can use that ActionTiles will already combine, I can certainly do that. To got a step further, the most ideal option would be to use a "read-only" type switch or something since there really is no use in being able to toggle the on/off status manually since that does nothing at all (it's a 1-way data flow from Sense).

I realize this may be a bigger conversation around the one-off customization of special tiles like this - I know that requires a lot of extra work, but I figured I'd ask since it seems like it would be cool :-)

To add more clarity, I think what I'm asking is if there's a way the Power Meter capability could be a footer option similar to the way the battery capability is treated now. With my DTH, I've got both "switch" and "power" capabilities on the same device - it would be awesome if AT could just stick the power value as a footer.

It would be great to show the dashboard on large screen TV using a Chromecast.

I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest tablet but one that works well and is configurable. Preferably one I can root but if it's not needed then all the better.

I think I have a relatively straightforward use case.

• I want to mount a couple around the house and have 1 or 2 in bedrooms.
• I would like the screen to go as dim as possible until it senses motion or it's picked up.
• Obviously needs to run AT and I would prefer it to boot directly into it if possible.

My goal is to make it as easy as possible for someone to pick up and use or go to the wall and use. If for some reason it needs to be rebooted or updated and it's turned back on that it goes directly into AT so that I then don't need to provide tech support.

Hi Everyone - new here but am pretty excited about this App. To me, it seems to smartly tie the Smart Home together. As a newbie, I am very interested in see everyone's creative panels. I would post up first but I don't think a few light switches, a clock and the weather are too interesting.

Searching around the internet for a more eye pleasing interface to SmartThings, I came across SmartTiles and further a custom dashboard created a few years ago. https://community.smartthings.com/t/my-custom-smarttiles-dashboard/48592

Looks like a nice feature that could add a nice look and feel to the project.  Usability would also improve greatly with nontechy folks that like eye candy and don't want the regular tiles approach.  I know this was previously done in the CSS, which is now gone, but an option to do so again would be great.

This may have been covered already, but I can't find it. 

In creating a custom Tile header it would be nice to have some formatting options. I have 2 tiles side by side on one of my panels.

One says 'Outdoor Humidity' the other 'Indoor Humidity'. The outdoor one is just long enough that it shows up on 2 lines. The indoor shows up on 1 line.

I tried various ways to get the indoor on 2 lines as I think it looks better, but the only way I found was to add additional characters such as a dash. Adding spaces didn't work, it appears they are ignored.

Just my 2 bits worth.

It's been a while since we made any changes to the application. We have been working on infrastructure upgrades to lay foundation for future services and integrations.

Would be great if each tile can be set to make a sound (from tablet or phone) whenever the status changes. This way, when a door opens or motion sensed, a sound is emitted. Can be set on/off for each tile.

Can anyone help with finding/creating the Intent URL to integrate Spotify and Denon Heos Drive for action tiles.  I have tried from other posts intent URL's that are out there and they seem to only be IOS based and not proper string for android or more specifically the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2017).  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Would love to see ability to have a panel of (virtual) Amazon Dash buttons. Now that Amazon is retiring the physical buttons, having them on action tile panel would be handy as hell.
