I just started using AT, love it so far. I'm considering mounting a tablet to start experimenting with. I'm building a house next year, currently finalizing the design. I'll be doing all the low voltage installation so I need to know pretty soon exactly what I need for smart house items so I can run cabling as needed. I'd always wanted to do a wall mount tablet in a few locations and I think AT will fit the bill.

So for now in the current house, I don't care to dig into sheet rock to run cables for power then have to repair before we sell the house, but I still want to play, mostly to get the wife on-board and so I'm not having to experiment on the new place.

I have a perfect spot downstairs right above or next to my nest thermostat. I do have 5 wires to the nest so I have 24VAC with common available.  I was thinking of a AC to 5VDC buck converter mounted inside a picture frame with the tablet. I could poke a small hole in the wall from the nest to behind tablet. Has anyone ever done this? It shouldn't pull more than a half amp at 24VAC...

I'm not sure what size AC transformer is in my HVAC system, it's a Lennox system about 2 years old. Also not sure how much power the nest requires.

I’m having issues with Dakboard and the screensaver. It doesn’t seem to appropriately size the content, so it’s pretty poorly laid out (most content is offscreen) it looks fine in other browsers on the fire so it seems to be related to fully. I was wondering how you had Dak configured assuming it looked good for you?

I’ve set up a panel for a new Fire HD8 I just got. It’s got some very strange rendering issues. The edges of tiles and text on some portions get very jagged and illegible. It only happens in landscape orientation and seems to be related to whether or not you have to scroll to get to the bottom of the panel. I thought maybe it was the tablet but I started ActionTiles on a Fire HD8 that my kids have and it does it too. I have ActionTiles running on multiple iOS devices and a Fire HD10 and have never seen this issue. Any thoughts?

Now that I am “sold” on ActionTiles I need a display.

I do not need or want it to do anything other than always having ActionTiles up and running. This is a dedicated display.

8”, 10” the prices seem all reasonable, I just need to know which one will boot directly to Actiontiles, and not require constant intervention. If it has to be fiddled with, my wife will not like it, and we all know how that will turn out.

I know zero about Amazon, androids, etc... I am a iPad person, and honestly never even dealt with anything else in a tablet.

Some of the Amazon units have “special offers” that I do not understand. Is this what I’m after???

I need to use AT for pet sitters to be able to interact with ST when staying at my house. I don't want them to have access to my iPad because all of my Apple devices all linked nor do I want to share the ST app with them, so I bought the 3 pack 8" Fire tablets during Prime deals which will be dedicated to AT/ST. Last night, I was able to install Fully Kiosk Browser and set it up to turn on w motion. The only problem I can't seem to fix is that it still turns on to the lock screen. I am hoping someone can give me some settings to fix this. These tablets are Fire HD 8 (7th Generation) so I am hoping this was not just a feature in previous versions.

Has anyone gotten Kore running through AT via Fully Kiosk Browser (1.42.5) PLUS edition?  Following instructions I've found elsewhere on this forum I believe it should be working but I'm getting an "App not found for intent" pop up.  Using Samsung Android tablet.  I can get to Kodi to manage through webserver, but the Kore app is a much nicer app for touchscreen.

So in short what I think I'm looking for is Intent information for Kore if available (or confirmation that it is not available".

This only happens on my Fire 10 7th gen. It does not happen on my Fire 8, same browser, same settings. Fully Kiosk Support just blanket-blames Android. I do have the proper Fire-only app for Fully Kiosk Browser. Everything is on it's latest version. I've even done a full reinstall of the table.

Pulling to refresh the page restores the icons.

This worked fine for a year when first set up, yet the icons stopped appearing 6 months or so ago. Basically the story of all home automation.

I want to have a charging and/or battery indicator tile.

Hi! Is there still an Android app? Tried to download it on a new tablet but it's not showing in my Google paly store.

This issue started popping up for the first time after months of usage without this issue appearing.  Specifically, I have an older iPad 4 running iOS 10.3.3 and an ActionTile panel configured as a Safari home screen web app.  After launching, the AT would persistently close/crash after a few minutes of runtime.  

I've tried clearing History and Website data and rebooting the iPad a couple times which didn't solve the problem.  I'm hoping there is a fix/solution for this as AT is my most used iPad app by far.  Any help would be appreciated? 

Does anybody know of a way to activate the built in (Lenovo tablets) Google Assistant Ambient Mode from within Fully Kiosk Browser?

I was able to find few discussion about this topic, and it may work. But as a new owner of a Tesla Y, I wonder if any of the forum members, can explain if  and how it possible, to install the AT on my Tesla screen?

I've been successfully using Fully Browser and ActionTiles for years on an Amazon Fire 7 that I modified using a published utility that worked perfectly.  It suddenly stopped connecting to AT with error messages that are a mix of ERR:: TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS and ERR:: NETWORK_CHANGED_ERR.  I'm also unable to load Actiontiles.com on the Chrome browser on that tablet.  Microsoft Edge still opens the panel that I display on that tablet, but I would like to go back to using Fully.  I can still use AT on all my other devices.  I already contacted Fully and their response is below.  Any ideas?

ERR::NETWORK_CHANGED_ERR and ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS are issues usually caused by the web server. If you try with other web browser like Google Chrome you should get the same result. Even on another device.

I have two old iPads on 9.3.6 I've wall-mounted for SmartThings control. From what I've read the usual apps like Chrome and Safari don't support fullscreen on that generation of iPads/apps. Is there some lesser-known app that can show a webpage in fullscreen? Firefox will go fullscreen when swiping down on a long enough webpage, so its clearly possible.

I have been playing with the ability to cast websites to a smart display (google, Lenovo) and it would be great if ActionTiles added a keyboard icon option at the login that you could select to bring up an on-screen keyboard so I can enter my credentials. These smart displays don’t have access to a keyboard.

I have 2 Amazon Fire tablets configured with Fully and DakBoard as the screensaver.  They operate as I want, when I launch Weatherbug or TinyCam, those aps stay in the foreground until I hit the back button.  Today I installed Fully on a spare Galaxt Tab I found and it behaves differently.  When I launch any app from an intent with UNiversal Launcher, the screensaver takes over in the specified time.  I just cant figure out what setting might be different between the Galaxy and the Fire

My Fire HD8 tablet I just setup for my SmartHome without Amazon link decided to update and now wants to link to Amazon. Do I have to factory reset and reload all APK files for Fully and Actiontiles to work again or is there a way around the linking?
