Compatible SmartThings Capabilities (Device Type abstractions)
ActionTiles only supports Things that are fully compliant with a standard Capability (device type abstraction) as defined by SmartThings Capabilities.
SmartThings publishes a partial list of "WWST" (Works with SmartThings) Certified Devices at: https://www.smartthings.com/products ; but not all of those are compatible with ActionTiles, because some of them claim a "Capability" that we have not built a Tile Type for.
The Capabilities currently compatible with ActionTiles are:
- Acceleration Sensor
- Battery
- Carbon Dioxide Measurement
- Carbon Monoxide Detector
- Color Control
- Contact Sensor
- Cooling Thermostat
- Dual Thermostat
- Energy Meter
- Garage Door Control
- Heating Thermostat
- Illuminance Measurement
- Lock
- Motion Sensor
- Music Player
- Power Meter
- Presence Sensor
- Relative Humidity Measurement
- Smoke Detector
- Sound Pressure Level
- Switch
- Switch Level
- Temperature Measurement
- Thermostat
- Thermostat Cooling Setpoint
- Thermostat Heating Setpoint
- Ultraviolet Index
- Valve
- Voltage Measurement
- Water Sensor
In addition ActionTiles also supports:
SmartThings Classic Smart Home Monitor "SHM" (arming/disarming; but not receiving or dismissing alerts).
NB: The New SmartThings App uses an entirely different instance of "SHM" which is not compatible with ActionTiles at this time. You must use SmartThings (Classic) App to be integrated with ActionTiles.Location Mode
Routines (SmartThings Classic only as of 2018/4/16)
Scenes (SmartThings Classic Scenes called via a Routine only).
- Weather* (Smart Weather Tile Device added via the IDE login).
We accept Feature Requests to add published SmartThings Capabilities to ActionTiles. These are considered for implementation if there is sufficient interest expressed in Votes.
Only Attributes & Commands in a compatible Capability are usable. In the long term, we are considering enhancing our architecture to allow ad hoc / custom Attributes & Commands to be associated with a Tile.
