This is a great feature and I have been experimenting with it. I noticed there is no security option for a thermostat tile though. Is this intentional? All apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, I could not find it.

Hi Jimi,
We have not (yet) added the PIN Protect option to Thermostat Tile. It's not a "global feature", since non-control Tiles (sensors) definitely don't have PIN Protection; so we just went down the list and figured out which Tiles are most likely to be "sensitive" and require it.
I think we will have no problem adding PIN to Thermostat Tiles in a future update.
Thanks for the feedback!
...Terry.
I agree. Aside from security arming/disarming, I can't think of another type of tile that would be more suited for a PIN number than thermostats! Especially considering that the tile gives you full control over the operation of the unit. Kids playing around with this tile could end up costing the home owner some $$. Please prioritize this "feature" request. Thanks.
Thanks for your feedback.
It is extremely helpful if you add Votes 👍 to the Topic (the original post), please.
Is there a way to accomplish this now or did it just not get enough votes?
We have a panel shortcut on our main panel and could just as easily apply a PIN to that, but either that or thermostat control PIN would be great!
We don't comment on exactly why a Feature Request hasn't been implemented "yet", though the lack of Votes isn't helping here.
We're transparent on our Feature Request policy: When are Feature Ideas in the Forum going to be implemented?
