Sticky Note (or simple text) Tile?

Hi NoWon...

Please describe the Feature you envision in much more detail -- "sticky note" can imply quite a lot of functionality and sub-features ... It would be super helpful if you start by describing the bare minimum that you you think would be valuable.

just a simple tile which you could leave a text note on and add to the panel.

initially I thought the addon for windows Chrome called Sticky notes would work and it does a little but as soon as you touch anywhere on the Actiontiles screen the Sticky Notes will disappear. Probably easier to work in a stay on top on windows fix I just have not figured it out yet.

For Android there are apps called "Sticky Notes + widget meo" or "ColorNote Notepad Notes to do" but I have not figured out how to make them go on top of ActionTiles in Android.

But no one except me will ever see these notes if I did it like this.

Then I realised I am simply over thinking this and adding a simple tile that we could type in a text message would be the best or even attach a picture to. Really the whole point of Actiontiles to keep it clean and simple.

As well as keeping it consistant with Windows and Android this would work for both.

Every SmartThings/nest/wink app/program has time and temperatures but they all forgot the day to day things we still use, the sticky notes/reminders.

From the ActionTiles panel screen touch the note panel type in a quick message and then select enter and have that text appear in the note panel on the ActionTiles main panel screen.

As well you could create this post it note/reminder on your ActionTiles panel on your phone/computer at work and the kids/family will see it when they get home from school/work on their ActionTiles devices.

The simpler the Feature, the more likely it is that we can consider implementation. A bare bones "Note Tile" seems pretty feasible. The issue is: How simple can we keep it and still have it be sufficiently valuable to be worth developing.

I think that one of the things the post it note app creators forgot is that the notes we leave on the fridge are usually for the whole family not always just for ourselves and there isn't anyway to have them appear right now on everyone in the families devices.

But your Actiontiles works on all platforms (Windows/apple/android) and doesn't need any additional apps to be installed on top to make that work.

has there been any update on implementation of a text or note widget? A simple text widget would be excellent.
