Return to Favorite Panel or top of Panel upon timeout

Don Baldaccini 5 years ago in Panels (dashboards) updated by RonV42 5 years ago 5

I just started using AT and it's really fantastic. I am currently running it on a Galaxy phone and I was trying 3x3 size tiles which are great for the clock and a radar feed. When all the tiles don't fit on the display you have to swipe up or down to see them all. It would be great if you could have a setting that lets say after xx seconds of inactivity it swipes itself up or down to fully display the clock and radar feed or whatever you want to see as large as possible. Two 3x3 tiles display perfectly on the Galaxy phone in landscape position.

Great idea, Don.

A workaround in the meantime would be to try the auto-reload option of a kiosk browser such as Fully - Most people just have it just  dim or switch to a screensaver like DAKBoard, but dig through the options, and I believe it has a timed reload.

Thanks,

That's a great alternative. But I too would like to have a panel time out and go back to the favorite or even better allow a configuration setting for timeout that allows us to define which panel to load when the timeout happens.

I don't understand the difference between what is being requested and the capabilities that already exist in Fully.  It seems like you can accomplish exactly what you are looking for already.

Because. I have to wait about 5 to 7  seconds for fully to load the page after coming out of screen saver.  If AT was able. to return to the home tile set it would be available immediately.
