Recent Issue with Video Stream

A few weeks ago I noticed my video streams on a few of my panels are no longer loading. They are set up as MJPGS. When I load them in a separate tab outside of action tiles they load with no issues. I am using the newest version of Chrome (Version 85.0.4183.121).

A recent Chrome update is going to pose a huge issue for our users. Chrome no longer allows mixed content, which means that all media must be served over HTTPS.


Unfortunately, there are no known workarounds at this time and I'm not sure there will be.

The solution is to serve the video streams over HTTPS. However the secure server must come from your end, since the video streams do not go through our servers. The video is being streamed directly from your camera or server to the dashboard.


I will be happy to hear from the broad user base on any solution or workaround.
